Logan International Airport

The airport is located 4 miles (6km) northeast of Boston. A ride to downtown Boston is anywhere from 20 minutes to more than an hour, depending on the traffic and time of day. What is the airport code? BOS This airport serves the areas around Boston. The airport is a hub for Continental Connection. McCarran transports 27 million passengers annually. The airport handles 671 commercial and 353 air taxi operations daily. The airport has five terminals (A, B, C, D, and E). The airport has 6 runways. The runways are from 2,500 feet to 10,000 feet in length. The airport was built in 1923. The airport is named after General Edward Lawrence Logan, an American militia officer and jurist from South Boston and who is a Spanish-American War hero. From the North Shore, follow I-95 to Route 1 South (Saugus). Stay on Route 1 and continue until the exit for Route 60 (Logan Airport). From Northern and Western Massachusetts, or from South Shore/Cape Cod, head for I-93 and continue into Boston until you see signs for the Callahan Tunnel/Logan Airport exit (exit 24). There is free shuttle bus service between Terminals. Other option is to use moving walkways. The Central Parking Garage offers convenient access to all terminals via pedestrian bridges. Terminal B Garage and Terminal E Parking are good parking choices for terminal B and E respectively. All the above are $5 for the first one hour. Economy Parking is for long term parking with a daily rate of $16. There are plenty of food options, mostly concentrated in terminals A, B, C, E, ranging from full-service restaurants, raw bars, fast food and cafes. Some of the names are Caffe Ritazza, Famous Famiglia Fudge Bar Killian's Boston Pub Legal Sea Foods Express Pizza Hut Express Uno Chicago Grill Wendy’s Wok & Roll and Au Bon Pain.

There is no lost and found office at the airport, but you may contact the airport at 800-23-LOGAN for any help with lost items. The airport does not have a chapel. There is a Kids play area in terminal A and C. There is no emergency room. In case of an emergency you may try to contact the help desk by dialing 1 800-23-LOGAN or through the Public Information Booths located at the lower level baggage claim areas of terminals A,B,C and E.
